Bag Line Faience – Model “Occhio di Penna di Pavone”
This bag is produced in full in Faenza, thanks to the union of two skillful craft enterprises operating in the sectors of leather goods and ceramics.
The leather used is of bovine italian and for the implementation of these grants is used the most prized part of the hide the “full bloom”, which allows to keep the characteristics of the surface, the veining and the softness.
Faenza is the city known throughout the world for its ceramics, and is from the desire to propose a leather bag made in Italy and embellished by a tile made of ceramic, hand-decorated one by one, who was born the bag “Model OCCHIO DI PENNA DI PAVONE”.
Some information on tile with ceramic and the decoration said “OCCHIO DI PENNA DI PAVONE”.
The decoration “OCCHIO DI PENNA DI PAVONE” can be placed in the period 1460-1495.
The reason for the pen of Pavone has far eastern origin and is likely inspired by the idea of the rising sun.
The polycrome bands like spokes are painted on the head of the dishes. The development of the dominant motif occurs by tiles, mats and fans.
The background and yellow ochre, i.e. the Faenza “yellow pavona”.
Prevailing colors are the turquoise, green, and brown manganese. The overall effect is sumptuous and recalls the colors of the iris.
